CHESS BOXING WHAT IS THIS WEIRD SPORT? : Chess Boxing is the ultimate game where intelligence, patience and muscle are all tested where players quickly switch between a boxing ring and a chessboard. For the final victory one player must either checkmate their opposition in chess or complete a knockout in the boxing ring. ORIGINS OF THIS WEIRD SPORT : This game has spiritual roots in a scientific fictional graphic novel from 1992 called Froid Equateur, but it was made a reality by Dutch artist Iepe Rubinghin 2003. The graphic novel portrayed a chess boxing world championship, where in which the opponents would participate in an entire boxing match before going up against each other in chess. Getting to know this weird sport: Competitive eating or speed eating is exactly what the title suggests, competitively eating large amounts of food under timed conditions. But this sport continues to be a puzzle to the rest of us who do not competitively eat. Various swallowing techniques such as “chipmunking” allows food to pass through much more easily.
