Weird Sports

The first question that I had about this sport is why would some ride an Ostrich, the simple answer is that there unpredictable compared to other animals ridden for competition. History: Ostrich racing is believed to be centuries old due to depictions of the Ancient Egyptian ruler Queen Arsinoe II ridding one, however, traditionally it most associated with Africa. One origin of the sport can be dated back to 1890 in Florida.  It was a past time that formed from two different factors. First, it attracted tourism into the state as for most Americans, and it was strange enough to peek there insert.  The other factor was it opened up another revenue source for ostriches farmers, the birds were farmed for there feathers to be used in fashion, but people would sell rides for around 0.50 cents (around $ 13.47 today) to make more profit out of the bird. Famous Chess Boxers Nikolay Sazhin was a former Russian world champion of chess boxing. His elo rating is 1911, and he has won many titles such as the international chess boxing in 2011, 2012 and the chess boxing tournament in Berlin in 2008 all in which he was victorious and won. Tim Woolgar is a British chess boxer and event organiser who established Great Britain chess boxing organisation and the London chess boxing club, the first United Kingdom chess boxing institution. Growing up he participated both in chess and boxing separately, hearing that the two contrasting sports can be combined to one sport he was intrigued and took part in it.  Tihomir Dovramadjiev is a Bulgarian chess master and boxer. He won the first European chess boxing championship in October of 2005.
