Underwater Hockey: What's it all about? The Basics: Underwater hockey is a non-contact sport, which is already quite different to its land-based counterpart, it consists of two teams attempting to manoeuvre a puck along the bottom of the floor of a swimming pool into the opponents' goal. Players must wear a diving mask along with fins and a snorkel as well as some other personal protective equipment such as mouth-guard , gloves, head caps and others. The Puck weighs in at 1.5kg and is made of lead-coated in a plastic covering. CHESS BOXING  WHAT IS THIS WEIRD SPORT? : Chess Boxing is the ultimate game where intelligence, patience and muscle are all tested where players quickly switch between a boxing ring and a chessboard. For the final victory one player must either checkmate their opposition in chess or complete a knockout in the boxing ring.  ORIGINS OF THIS WEIRD SPORT : This game has spiritual roots in a scientific fictional graphic novel from 1992 called Froid Equateur, but it was made a reality by Dutch artist Iepe Rubinghin 2003. The graphic novel portrayed a chess boxing world championship, where in which the opponents would participate in an entire boxing match before going up against each other in chess. For a more practical approach, Rubingh developed the game for it to be played within alternating rounds with a set of rules and regulations.
