The first question that I had about this sport is why would some ride an Ostrich, the simple answer is that there unpredictable compared to other animals ridden for competition. Bull Riding: What is it? A Brief Introduction: Bull riding is a wired sport you heard but never thought about properly. In this sport, the aim is to stay on top of a bucking bull for eight to ten seconds while only using one hand to grip onto it. Bull riding as a sport was surprisingly not formed by some odd bet but as an adaption of bullfighting in the 16th century where a bull would be ridden to death. Ethics Of The Modern Game: The modern version of the sport does not resemble the original version of it. Elephant Polo is a variant of the sport polo with its main gimmick being that the players ride an elephant during the sport instead of horses. The British created this sport by substituting the standard horse with the more available elephant. The modern state of the game started in 1982 where the WEPA (World Elephant Polo Association) set the rules for the sport and started an annual competition. However, out of the four countries that host the sport only Nepal and Thailand follow WEPA regulation, with those played in India and Sri Lank being under independent tournament regulation.
