The Secrets Behind Competitive Eating:
Competitive eating is not as easy as it sounds, there are a lot of
weird swallowing techniques behind it and not for the faint hearted. In order
to be the next Joey Chestnut (world’s most competitive eater) then there’s a
few secrets you should know about.
1) There is no set guidance:
The
more competitions you attend the greater your chance of being a successful
eater. There is no manual on how to be the best competitive eater, you learn
through practice and enough contests.
2) Water is your best friend:
Yes,
water is the most important tool for a competitive eater because it increases
stomach capacity and is useful in preparing for the big leagues.
3) Work on your jaw muscles:
Being
able to work your jaw muscles are essential in strengthening your chances of
being a competitive eating champion. Being able to actively chew throughout a
competition your jaw should not get tired. Hence working those muscles is key.
